The shoe was sold at Sotheby’s auction for $437,500. It was sold in about the same time as the anniversary of the 50 years of the landing on the moon by the Neil Armstrong.

The Moon Shoe name comes from design, and that shoe was made for track runners for Olympics in  the year 1972.
